Kelly is an experienced certified public accountant and finance professional with more than 20 years of experience at both divisional and corporate levels. Kelly has worked in a broad range of industries including apparel, restaurants, and direct sales. Over the years, Kelly has worked with many small businesses including clients such as restaurants, physicians, attorneys, real estate agents, advertising agencies, and a variety of sole proprietors.

Kelly Spencer began her certified public accountant career with Seed Restaurant Group, the parent company for Fazoli’s restaurants. During her 5-year tenure, Fazoli’s grew from 28 restaurants to over 125. Kelly’s responsibilities included General Ledger, Financial Statement preparation, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Inventory Management, and supervising the accounting team.

Kelly also worked as a certified public accountant for a local accounting firm in Lexington, where she specialized in small businesses assisting them with all their accounting, bookkeeping, tax and payroll needs.

In addition, Kelly held several Accounting roles for Galls Corporation, ultimately being promoted to Senior Controller & Director of Finance with responsibility for all accounting and business planning functions.

During her 14-year career with ARAMARK, Kelly most recently held the position of Associate Vice President, Financial Shared Services within their Uniform Services division where she was responsible for Credit, Collections, Cash and Customer Management. Kelly has experience managing both large and small accounting and customer service teams, and has been accountable for significant budgets and bottom line results.

In 2014, as a breast cancer survivor and a single mother of two, Kelly made a life-changing decision to leave corporate America with a desire to serve small business owners here in her hometown of Lexington. Kelly is passionate about her community and is firmly committed to helping business owners reach their goals and ambitions.

Kelly lives in Lexington, KY. with her two children, Lauren and Cole, and her husband, Patrick. Kelly’s favorite hobby is to enjoy her “down time” at the lake on their boat with friends and family. She is also actively involved as a founding member of her daughter’s high school lacrosse team booster organization.
Kelly is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with both a B.S. and MBA in Accounting.
